Abstract

This paper presents and analyzes the main theses that constitute Rousseau’s conception of civic education. The paper makes also critical remarks about Rousseau’s political-pedagogical proposal, pointing both misguided and potentially problematic elements as important aspects for thinking current issues on politics and education.
