Abstract: My main aim in this paper is to try to reflect on a particular conception of moral responsibility that may derive from a virtue ethics that has as its central focus of moral evaluation the character traits of the agent. To do this, I first will highlight some key features of the model of virtue ethics as opposed to deontological and consequentialist models. Later, I will highlight the internalist aspect of virtue ethics, highlighting the characteristics of motivation and deliberation. Finally, I will identify and problematize about a comprehensive type of moral responsibility that would be assumed in this ethical model.
Keywords: virtues, character, moral responsibility.
