Abstract

The political thought of Hobbes, the theory of obligation has an approximation argument with the act under contract, because without the realization of an agreement there is no possibility of political obligation. The article in question aims to examine the contractual obligation in relation to moral obligation. For both, it is the principle according to which Hobbes sets out the obligation of the laws of nature in the light of the obligation arising from the contractual act between men. If there is a requirement for enforcement of covenants, there is also a moral obligation to follow the natural laws. Thus, the obligation concerning the terms of the contract represents a firework for achieving the purposes determined by natural laws, since it is these laws that constitute the moral obligation.

Keywords: Obligation, agreement, natural laws, morality, deliberation.
