Abstract

We intend to show in this article that the dream appears in the Sartre’s philosophy as belonging to the family of the image, totally different of perception while maintaining relationship whit real, so that the dreamer creates the unreal remaining in the world. Against the reading from Merleau-Ponty in his course about passivity, and the critics elaborated by Silvana Ramos, we will show that the distinction between percepction and imagination doesn’t implies, in the book The Imaginary, a break between real and unreal, and that even the dream, boundary example of imaginary, far from to mean the absence of world, is created by a body that, asleep, remains in the world and allows the awakening.

Keywords: Sartre, imaginary, dream, conscience, being-in-the-world.
